A second bushfire emergency warning issued in Perth s south in the space of an hour has been downgraded after a blaze forced residents to evacuate.

The fire broke out in Aubin Grove in the City of Cockburn yesterday afternoon.
The fire has been contained and brought under control and the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) said there was no threat to lives or homes.

Residents are being allowed to return home after a bushfire threatening Perth suburbs late into the night was downgraded.
Just before midnight (3am AEDT), the Department of Fire and Emergency Services said the blaze threatening northern parts of Aubin Grove and western parts of Banjup was now a Watch and Act alert.
Hours earlier hundreds are believed to have fled their homes as an Emergency Warning alert was issued for the suburbs. You are in danger and need to act immediately to survive. There is a threat to lives and homes, the DFES said in its alert for the suburbs in Perth s south just after 9pm (midnight AEDT).

More than 80 homes in Perth s south have been saved due to firefighters tireless efforts after a blaze broke out in Aubin Grove on Tuesday afternoon, forcing some families to abandon their properties.
The fire was reported around 2.30pm and burned through six hectares of bushland close to several housing estates.
Road closures led to some residents being forced to walk to their properties to retrieve their pets and belongings.
