Operation Get Active Corporate Cup Presented By The Chattanooga Choo Choo Returns Tuesday, February 16, 2021
Operation Get Active is bringing back its annual fundraising event the Corporate Cup in Fall 2021. The event is a co-ed soccer tournament, featuring 5 player-versus-5 player format. Participants will include members of local Chattanooga companies and businesses. The Corporate Cup serves as a fundraiser for Operation Get Active, with all funds directly supporting Operation Get Active’s flagship after-school soccer programming.
Operation Get Active (OGA) is a health initiative program that uses the game of soccer to encourage young people in Chattanooga to live active and healthy lifestyles.

College football fans are getting a real bonus this winter and spring, thanks to COVID-19. The teams and conferences that cancelled their fall schedule last year will be playing a series of games beginning in less than two weeks. The Chattanooga Mocs open their COVID season on Feb. 20 against VMI at high noon, in front of no fans at all. Due to the winterization of Finley Stadium, fans will not be allowed into the first two home games. Fans will finally be able to see the Mocs play in person in a limited capacity on March 27 when they host Mercer.

Football Fans Will Have To Wait For Warmer Weather Monday, February 1, 2021 The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga athletics department announced the return of fans to home events in McKenzie Arena in a limited capacity for the month of February. UTC also announced that due to the winterization of Finley Stadium and the impact that would have on the fan experience, there will not be fans at football games for the first two home contests in February. Other home events that are not held at McKenzie Arena, including the football games on Feb. 20 game against VMI and Feb.

By any standard, the Chattanooga Football Club had about as successful a season as one could have hoped for in the topsy-turvy year that was 2020. As the top side in their conference, CFC won the Independent Cup in the shortened preseason, and then made it midway through the NISA playoffs after the regular season. While COVID-19 forced the team and league to shut down for several months, and for the roster to be adjusted, often on the fly, the team still was competitive against all sides.
