Competition entry Lumen Valo takes into account, by simple means, both the values related to the history of the Finlayson area and the starting points of the surrounding area and the requirements of the art, says the chair of the jury, Deputy Mayor Jaakko Stenhäll.

Rare Saimaa seals back on live stream, now with sound
The massively popular annual webcam featuring endangered seals has begun drawing viewers back into the placid scenery of eastern Finland s lake district.
The webcam shows rocks favoured by the rare seals as napping spots.

WWF Finland has launched its popular webcam featuring Saimaa ringed seals for a sixth year running. Called Norppalive in Finnish, the live streams shows rocks favoured by the rare seals as places to rest and scrape off their winter fur.
This year s live stream kicked off on Wednesday morning, featuring sound for the first time. Over the past five years, Norppalive has attracted some 10 million views.
Supervisory Board of Tallink Grupp extends Management Board membersâ term of office
Tallink Grupp has announced to the stock exchange that the group’s Supervisory Board has made the decision to extend the term of office of the company’s Chief Executive Officer Paavo Nõgene by a further three years and the term of office of Management Board Member Lembit Kitter until the end of 2021. At the same time, the Supervisory Board has appointed Margus Schults, the CEO of Tallink Grupp’s Finnish subsidiary Tallink Silja Oy, as the new and additional member to the company’s Management Board.
