SAN ANTONIO – A restaurant on the far Northwest Side was ordered to go through a re-inspection last month after shrimp was being stored on ice inside a hand sink.
Staff of Mariscos La Laguna, located in the 23000 block of Interstate 10 West near Leon Springs, was instructed to use the sink only for washing hands.
The establishment, which received a score of 80, was also cited for having no hot water and for having other plumbing issues, city health records show.

SAN ANTONIO – A convenience store south of downtown was cited last month after racking up a list of health code violations including black residue in its ice machine.
Pik-Nik Foods, located in the 900 block of Division Avenue, was also written up for having no hot water at its hand sink and for having food residue on some equipment, including its drink station.
The store received a health score of 80.

SAN ANTONIO – A convenience store on the city’s near West Side was cited by health inspectors last month after a mold-like substance was discovered on the walls and ceiling of its walk-in cooler.
Shop-N-Save, located in the 1300 block of N. Trinity Street, received a score of 78 and was also written up for using food containers with metal rust debris, according to Metropolitan Health records.
