Energy-based climate solutions focus on achieving net zero carbon emissions where carbon emissions equal carbon drawdown and there is no net gain of carbon to the atmosphere.
Net zero goals are translated into concrete actions such as putting up solar panels, installing heat pumps and switching over to electric cars. If these actions don’t involve destruction of natural resources, which is carbon-emitting, they make some difference in atmospheric carbon.
But net zero isn’t enough given the size and scope of the climate emergency. As a single strategy, net zero won’t even stabilize the climate.

MILAN The Italian government has allocated a very small part of its national recovery plan to battery production for electric vehicles. The decision could endanger the country s hopes of being a location for Stellantis s third European cell production plant.
Italy and Spain were seen as the two most likely countries for the plant. The automaker s first two factories are scheduled to begin production in France in 2023 and in Germany in 2025.

We were one of the first convention centres in North America to release our safety polices and host large-scale conventions safely and without incident. We have a very supportive community.
We are an economic engine in Orlando have been safely hosting events from other convention destinations. We have hosted about 60 events since the onset of the pandemic and we look forward to hosting 15 event relocations from other destinations for 2021, similar in scale to the MAGIC Pop-Up Orlando, OFFPRICE Orlando Market and WWIN Orlando. The convention and tradeshows that have relocated from other destinations will result in more than 63,000 room nights and an economic impact for $124m in new business for Orlando. We hope to maintain those relationships so that they consider Orlando again in the future.

My wife and I live in Evanston, and our house borders directly onto Lovelace Park. The park has always been seen by us as a haven from the trials and tribulations of everyday life. Recently, we have added our names to the list of those who would like to preserve the meadow area of the park (the area west of the pond and north of the sledding hill) a haven for birds, insects, other wildlife, and even us humans to enjoy in a more natural state.
