Tropical depression located about 110km from Mong Cai City
At 7am on July 22, the centre of a tropical depression was located on the mainland south of Guangxi Province (China), about 110km east-northeast of Mong Cai City in Quang Ninh Province, according to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting (NCHMF).
The strongest winds near its centre were at 40-50 km/hour, with shock at level 8.
Over the next 24 hours the tropical depression will move southwest at a speed of about 5km per hour.

The number of customers at traditional markets in HCMC is declining sharply despite abundant supply and reasonable prices.
A survey by
VnExpress on Tuesday found most traditional markets getting few shoppers in the morning. Ba Chieu Market in Binh Thanh District, which allows a maximum of 10 shoppers at a time, was deserted. It has some 20 stalls selling fruits, vegetables and dried foods.

The image of taxi motorbike drivers buying food and delivering to families has become common in HCMC, as people must restrict travel during social distancing.
At 5.30 pm recently, shipper Pham Quang Toan was seen leaving a market with two large bags of rau muong (a kind of vegetable in Vietnam) to deliver to a client in Binh Thanh district.
Toan became a shipper a week ago and the afternoon is the busiest time of the day for him.
