OLDSMAR â Pinellas County Sheriffâs detectives arrested a 38-year-old Oldsmar man about 9:19 a.m. May 3 after he was accused of molesting a female child under the age of 12.
Scott Allan Konash was booked into the county jail on one count of lewd and lascivious molestation of a child. No bail was set.
Detectives assigned to the Crimes Against Children Unit say the girl reported the molestation during an interview with an investigator with the Child Protection Investigation Unit.
Konash was interviewed by detectives May 3 and placed under arrest.

DUNEDIN — Pinellas County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a crash between a vessel and personal watercraft that occurred about 11:24 a.m. May 1 near 62 Dunedin Causeway.
LARGO â Pinellas County Sheriffâs detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred April 24 at the Handy Corner convenience store located at 2325 119th Street in unincorporated Largo.
Patrol deputies responded to the store about 8:18 p.m. and found Just Darnell Wiley, 31, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

LEALMAN â Pinellas County Sheriffâs detectives served warrants at three âdrug housesâ in Lealman April 14 resulting in 32 arrests. Eighteen suspects were still at-large.
According to detectives assigned to the Narcotics Division, an investigation began in October 2020 to focus on reducing the number of narcotic sales in and around East Lealman.
Detectives determined that narcotic transactions at three locations had contributed to more than 150 fatal and non-fatal overdoses from December 2020 to January 2021. These locations were identified as 2768 Grove Park Avenue North, Unit 1, St. Petersburg, 2524 50th Avenue North, St. Petersburg and 4819 Haines Road North, St. Petersburg.
Detectives identified 35 suspects with 69 charges. The charges included operating a drug house, narcotics sales and possession of cocaine, heroin, fentanyl and methamphetamine.
GULFPORT â Pinellas County Sheriffâs SWAT Team responded to a call for assistance from Gulfport police April 2 after a suspect barricaded himself inside a home and refused to exit.
According to Gulfport police, officers responded to a report of an armed person on 55th Street South after the victim called to let them know that Kyle Jeffrey South, 34, of Gulfport had fired several rounds into his residence.
South s address is the same as the one he reportedly fired into, according to a media release.
Sheriffâs deputies assigned to the Negotiator Response Team made contact with South, who had barricaded himself inside the home. Deputies say South surrendered peacefully after a nearly five hour stand-off.
