KUALA LUMPUR, June 10 HSS Engineers Bhd (HEB) is actively tendering for infrastructure projects in the rail, road and water sectors totalling RM437 million while eyeing the roll-out of new contracts for ongoing mega infrastructure projects that are expected to be awarded in the second half of the year.
Executive vice-chairman Tan Sri Kuna Sittampalam said 45 per cent of the value of the tendered contracts was for engineering services, including construction, supervision and engineering design, 37 per cent for project management and the remaining for building information modelling.
“To look deeper into our existing contracts, 50 per cent is from rail projects, followed by water (25 per cent), highway (15 per cent) and infrastructure (10 per cent).

Engineering and project management consultant HSS Engineers Bhd is buoyant about its prospects in the current year on the back of new contract wins and anticipated rollout of new contracts for ongoing mega infrastructure projects in the second half of the year.
The group is tendering for RM437 million worth of infrastructure projects in rail, road, and water sectors. The projects in the tender book are engineering services (RM265 million), project management (RM162 million), and building information modeling services (RM10 million).

GEORGE TOWN: Despite numerous objections from various parties, the Penang government will proceed with the Penang South Islands (PSI) project, formerly known as Penang South Reclamation (PSR) project.

(pix) said it is not one or the other referring to the PSI, the environment issue and fishermen welfare.
He said the state has been listening and agreed with the concerned parties on the importance of taking climate change into consideration and protecting the welfare of fisherman.
“This is why we are implementing so many mitigation measures, carrying out a socioeconomic plan for fishermen, and introducing green initiatives for the PSI development. Suffice to say that such a massive and comprehensive plan to improve the fishing community has never been done before anywhere in the country.
