The onion prices were burning a hole in the pockets of common people with the continuous rise in the last few days. However, the prices have now come under control. Telangana and Maharashtra have witnessed a rise in the production of onion resulting in surplus supply in Hyderabad. Onions are available at Rs 20 per kg in markets in Hyderabad after a drop in prices. The onion prices are expected to go further down in the coming weeks due to surplus supply from other states.
