A new studio is taking over and will produce new content for strategy game

Paradox Interactive has announced that development has resumed on Surviving Mars, the survival colony builder set on the Red Planet, under developer Abstraction.
Surviving Mars has surpassed 5 million players in the lifetime of the game across all platforms. To Celebrate the return to Mars, Paradox will launch an In-Dome Buildings Pack and a free Tourism Update available to all Surviving Mars players this Monday, March 15.
The Tourism Update is free for all Surviving Mars players and revamps tourists, introduces a RC Safari, adds buildings, and more. With this update, players can expect to see some of their most-requested tourism features, such as Holiday Experience rating rewards and consequences.

Developer V1 Interactive is shutting down, the company has said. We are sad to inform you that V1 Interactive is officially closing. We want to thank all the talented people at V1, both past and present, who helped make the last five years wonderful. And a heartfelt thanks to the amazing community that supported us, said the company in a statement.
V1 Interactive was founded in 2014 by Halo creative director Marcus Lehto and SOCOM director Mike Gutmann in Seattle, Washington. Their debut title was Disintegration, released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam in June 2020 through Publisher Private Division.
