The Ghana Agriculture and Agro-Processing Awards have awarded som 26 companies and individuals for the immense contribution they have made towards the success of the Agricultural sector.
The Awards brings together players of the agriculture and agro-processing industry and recognizes achievements of individuals and companies that play a significant role in the development of the agribusiness sectors while recognizing the key functions within the industry that promote standards.
The event was graced by the Hon. Elizabeth Afoley Quaye, Former Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture and H.E Abdulfatah Ahmed Khali Alsattari, Consular of the PalestineEmbassy Ghana.

JACKSONVILLE The Outstanding Eagle Scout Award, given to Eagles who have distinguished themselves with local public service but do not meet the 25-year tenure, has been given to Assistant Republican Leader C.D. Davidsmeyer, R-Jacksonville.
“I am speechless and beyond surprised to receive this award,” said Davidsmeyer.
The National Eagle Scout Association’s website describes candidates for the award as those who, “have inspired others through their actions and have devoted a lifetime to their profession, avocation, community, and beliefs at great sacrifice to themselves and their families.”

March 8 is International Women s Day, and this year s theme is Choose to Challenge.
In recognition of the day, 16-year-old Anneke Talke of San Luis Obispo shares her story of becoming an Eagle Scout with Scouts BSA (Boy Scouts of America).
According to Scouts BSA, out of the thousands who join Scouts BSA, on average, six percent become an Eagle Scout. More than 140,000 girls have joined scouting and nearly 1,000 have reached Eagle Scout rank.
