Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for May 17th, 2021. In today’s article, we’ve got a review for the
Subnautica + Subnautica: Below Zero pack, summaries of the rather dubious assortment of new games that have hit the eShop, and the usual lists of new and expiring sales for you to consider. It’s a smaller one today, but such is how things go sometimes. Let’s get down to business!
Reviews & Mini-Views
There are a lot of games inspired to various degrees by
Minecraft. Most of them have enough sense to try to add their own twist to the idea, though certainly not all of them. Whether that twist proves to be interesting or not is a separate matter.

Switch eShop - New Releases
(Eclipse Games, 14th May, £2.99 / €2.99) - Do you enjoy crosswords or word games? Uncover hidden words: connect the letters, interpret the clues, improve your vocabulary, try your memory, challenge yourself and test your English skills. Why waste time finding and downloading thousands of crosswords when #1 Anagrams generates randomly infinite crosswords for you? On top of that you can enjoy the story mode with 200 crosswords sorted by difficulty level, and solve the Daily Anagram (you get a new one every day) which is the same for everyone in the world.
New Pokemon Snap, Fly Together!, and Dull Grey. That’s… quite an odd mix, I’ll admit. There are a couple of new releases to look at, though nothing terribly exciting. There are summaries of them, just the same. We finish things up with the usual lists of new and outgoing sales, of which there are many. Let’s wade on in and see how the water is, eh?

New Pokemon Snap ($59.99)
I suppose the nice thing about doing a twenty-years-later sequel is that you can let the progress of technology do some of the heavy lifting when it comes to meeting expectations. That’s certainly one prong of
Capcom Arcade Stadium. We also have a Mini-View of WayForward’s recent release of the classic
Shantae, plus summaries of today’s new releases. We finish things up with a look at the incoming and outgoing sales for the day. Not the biggest one, but still plenty to read. Let’s get on with it!

On the good side, the presentation is amazing and there are lots of neat extras. The selection of titles has its ups and downs, with some games we’ve rarely seen before present and some old favorites missing. Well, I don’t know if Capcom is going to fix the emulation or add online play (probably not), but the library will at least get a boost in the future. Capcom has officially stated that more games will be coming to the set, with details com
