With a four-day total of 43 pounds, 15 ounces, Jason Christie of Park Hill, Okla., has won the 2021 Dovetail Games Bassmaster Elite at Sabine River sponsored by Bassmaster Fishing 2022 – the official video game of B.A.S.S.
Claiming his sixth Bassmaster victory, Christie posted his best effort on Day 1 with a second-place limit of 15-1. He took over the top spot on Friday by adding 13-14 and held that position on Day 3 with a limit of 6-12. He closed the deal with a Championship Sunday limit that weighed 8-4.

LEESBURG, Fla. (March 11, 2021) – The Toyota Series presented by A.R.E. Southern Division will kick off its second event of the 2021 season with a tournament next week in Leesburg, Florida, March 16-18, with the Toyota Series presented by A.R.E. at Harris Chain of Lakes . Hosted by Visit Lake County, Florida, the three-day tournament will feature the region’s best bass-fishing pros and Strike King co-anglers casting for a top prize of up to $65,000, plus an additional $35,000 bonus if the winner is a qualified Phoenix Boat owner.

FLORENCE â The Bassmaster Elite Series heads to Florence for the third event of its nine-tournament season â the Guaranteed Rate Bassmaster Elite at Pickwick Lake March 18-21. B.A.S.S. visited Pickwick six times for major events in the past, and last November, the lake was the site of the 2020 TNT Fireworks B.A.S.S. Nation Championship.
The Yellowhammer State will be well-represented by the 12 Elite Series pros who call Alabama home. This includes Florence-native, Justin Atkins, and 2019 Bassmaster Angler of the Year Scott Canterbury of Odenville.Â
The tournament pits 100 of the top bass anglers in the world against one another as they compete for the $100,000 first-place prize and a total purse of more than $762,000.
Decades later, fishing remains Mercer s obsession.
The former tournament angler is the longtime host often with a funny, off-the-wall twist of Dave Mercer s Facts of Fishing television show. He also writes a blog, operates a podcast with partner Luke Dunkin and produces a fishing news segment.
The show, podcast and news segments can all be seen on YouTube. Mercer, 46, also speaks at seminars across North America and is in his 11th year as MC of the Bassmasters Classic and Elite Series.
The third 21 Elite Series event begins Thursday on Pickwick Lake in Florence, Ala.
When Mercer isn t working, he fishes recreationally. In fact, the Mercer home in Port Perry, Ont., is on the shores of Lake Scugog so Mercer, his wife, Sarah, and their two teenage children can maximize family time on the water.
