Kenworth seeks to build test facility at its Chillicothe campus

Kenworth seeks to build test facility at its Chillicothe campus CHILLICOTHE- Kenworth Truck Company announced its intention to build a new test track facility on the northern side of its Chillicothe campus Monday. A new 110,000-foot, $45 million building would allow the company to test new trucks, said plant manager Chris Davis at Monday s county commissioner s meeting. Currently, this function is done either inside the current facility or out in the weather, and they want to put everything under the same roof, said Tammy Eallonardo, director of Economic Development for Greater Chillicothe and Ross County Development.  Along with taking weather conditions out of the testing scenario, it will also free up space in the current facility, creating additional room to expand products or to change procedures.
