About 5.35pm, a black Hyosung motorcycle was travelling west on Pinjarra Road and a white Toyota Hilux utility was travelling south on Tonkin Drive when they collided at the intersection of the two roads. The rider of the motorcycle, a 23-year-old man received critical injuries in the crash and died at the scene. The 22-year-old male driver of the Hilux was not injured. Serious and organised crime detectives’ drug squad has stopped five trucks over the past two months thanks to interstate intelligence, resulting in what they claim is “the largest seizure ever in Australia” of $13 million in cash, as well as more than 210 kilograms of drugs that included smaller amounts of cocaine and heroin.
