An autopsy from the state of North Carolina revealed that Andrew Brown Jr., who was shot and killed by police in Elizabeth City in April, died of a gunshot wound to the back of the head, according to multiple reports.
The official state autopsy for Andrew Brown Jr., a Black man killed during a confrontation with police in North Carolina, lists his cause of death as homicide resulting from a gunshot wound to the back of the head.
"The false narrative that DA Womble has attempted to weave is completely discredited by this autopsy report," attorneys for the Brown family said in a statement.
