Parts of New Ferry that will be transformed PLANS to redevelop parts of New Ferry as the town recovers from a devastating explosion have moved closer to reality as the council s land acquisition negotiations continue. The regeneration plan, which gained outline planning permission in 2019, is to build a mixture of new residential and retail units across three separate areas of land, was given a £3.2m boost from the Government s Future High Streets Fund on Boxing Day. The authority has now started the process of acquiring the remaining land and properties within the development site that is currently in private ownership.
