G7 (United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, United States, Canada, Japan) finances opened in London on Friday, June 4, and the US Minimum Tax Project on the Agenda was revived by the administration of US President Joe Biden. The Americans set a minimum corporate tax rate of 21% before making up their minds to get 15% more votes. LONDON Finance ministers from the Group of 7 nations were on the cusp of a broad agreement over how to overhaul the international tax system and were aiming to announce a pact on Saturday that could have financial consequences for some of the world’s largest companies, according to officials familiar with the negotiations.
