Favorite Fishing pro Zack Birge of Blanchard, Ok., boated 15 scorable bass Monday weighing 25 pounds, 2 ounces to win the two-day Qualifying Group B round at the Major League Fishing Bass Pro Tour Berkley Stage Two at Lake Travis Presented by Mercury event in Austin, Texas. Day 1 leader, Academy pro Jacob Wheeler of Harrison, caught a two-day total of 18 bass weighing 58-3 to end the round in second place, and South Carolina angler Andy Montgomery finished the round in third place with a two-day total of 15 bass weighing 34-0.

Jacob Wheeler Leads Group B At Major League Fishing Bass Pro Tour Saturday, May 1, 2021 It was a back-and-forth battle at the top for most of the day Saturday, between pros Jacob Wheeler of Harrison, and Zack Birge of Blanchard, Ok., at the Major League Fishing (MLF) Bass Pro Tour Berkley Stage Two at Lake Travis Presented by Mercury event in Austin, Texas. The duo traded the lead back and forth for most of Period 2, however Wheeler boated a 4-pounder right near the end of the Period, then added another 4-pounder shortly after the start of Period 3 to increase his lead to just over 10 pounds.

By MLF Communications Staff The second event in the MLF Bass Pro Tour s 2021 regular season takes place beginning today at Lake Travis near Austin, Texas. The 6-day event will feature 80 anglers competing for a top payout of $100,000.
For the first time since March 2020, fans are encouraged to attend all of the happenings surrounding the event. Anglers will take off from the Mansfield Dam Park, located at 4370 Mansfield Dam Park Road in Austin, at 6:30 a.m. CT each morning. Each days takeout will also be held at the park beginning at 3:30 p.m. Fans are also encouraged to follow the event online throughout the day on the MLF NOW! livestream and ScoreTracker coverage at MajorLeagueFishing.com.
