According to WYMT reports, the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is investigating a weekend boating accident on Douglas Lake that left a Pike Co man deceased. Reports indicate around 9:30 PM Saturday morning, two bass boats collided near Anchor Down campground. TWRA officials identified the victim as 65-year-old Billy Martin of Pikeville. Billy Martin and 30-year-old Brandon Martin were both fishing with a bass club that was launched out of Walter’s Bridge Access Area. Around 9:30 AM., officials say Billy was operating a Bass Cat bass boat that collided with a Stratos bass boat being operated by 39-year-old Chris Sexton of Corryton, Tenn. Sexton had a young boy on his boat. Officials say all four occupants were wearing life jackets and ejected into the water. ATLANTA January 13, 2021 Georgia Governor Brian P. Kemp today announced that Correct Craft, a leader in building tournament inboard, freshwater fishing, utility and recreational boats, will invest more than $1.7 million in opening a manufacturing facility in Valdosta, delivering 90 jobs to Lowndes County. Correct Craft’s Valdosta facility will produce wakeboarding and wake surfing boats under its Supreme Boats brand.
“It’s a pleasure to welcome Correct Craft and Supreme Boats to the family of outstanding manufacturers that call Georgia home.
