Family turns their pain into purpose to prevent tragedy from striking again

NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio â When hit with unimaginable pain the idea of pushing forward may seem impossible.
One family has turned its heartache into a helping hand to prevent a similar tragedy. That s what s helped us to get through these tough times, said Rick Haney.
Haney remembers his son s personality and passion for life. Just a happy go lucky guy. He was always the life of the party. Always had a smile on his face, said Haney.

The Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments (TMACOG) reelected Ottawa County Commissioner Mark Stahl as its chairman, during the organization’s recent annual business meeting. With Commissioner Stahl in charge, Ottawa County will play an important part in determining regional planning with members in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan working on transportation, water quality, and support regional economic development endeavors that affect quality of life in the region.
TMACOG’s role in transportation is to help plan roadways, rail, bike and pedestrian accommodations, and transit that will move goods and people safely and efficiently throughout the region. The staff at TMACOG compiles information that local elected officials need to set priorities and make plans.

The Eagles flooded the Descending Order List this past weekend with huge marks. UW-La Crosse now holds 19 national top-10 marks, including national-leading efforts in the triple jump from
Jessica Stelzner at 11.66m (38-3¼) and in the weight throw from
Skye Digman at 16.96m (55-7¾). The Eagles have multiple top-10 marks in several events: 60 (x3), 400 (x2), 60H (x2), long jump (x2), triple jump (x2) and weight throw (x2).

STRONGSVILLE, Ohio Local high school sophomores, parents and prospective adult education students are invited to take an in-person guided tour of Polaris Career Center during Tuesday Tours.
These one-on-one tour opportunities give prospective students and parents an opportunity to explore Polaris’ newly renovated Middleburg Heights campus and get specific high school and adult education enrollment questions answered.
