Man Found People on Facebook That Share His Name, Started Virtual Band
Paul O Sullivan, 33, has done what a lot of us have, which is search Facebook to see if we have anybody else out there that shares the same name as us. Out of curiosity (or maybe lockdown boredom), he sent friend requests to a handful of them.
“I wondered what my name twins were up to out in the world,” O’Sullivan, a music instructor from Baltimore, Maryland told
Some of them accepted the request, and Paul found out that he and the other Pauls share a lot of interests.
To avoid confusion, the Paul O’Sullivans started using their geographic locations when referring to one another. Paul O’Sullivan from Baltimore became Baltimore Paul, and so on.

They re a lot of famous Pauls in the world. Apostle Paul. Paul McCartney. Paul Simon. Paul Rothchild. But have you heard of The Paul O Sullivan Band?
These guys JUST went viral and are all over social media. All four members are named Paul O Sullivan. All four play instruments. All 4 have formed what could be the world s FIRST VIRTUAL BAND!
I had the opportunity to chat with two of the four Pauls (Baltimore Paul & Pennsylvania Paul) about how they found each other, how they ve really clicked and have great musical chemistry together. Only two of the four Pauls have met in person, however thanks to modern technology, they just released their very first band which was recorded VIRTUALLY! Shoutout to Manchester Paul & Rotterdam Paul who were unable to make it since.well.they live in Ireland & The Netherlands!

Have you ever met someone who has exactly the same name as yours? Paul O Sullivan from Baltimore, Maryland recently met people with the same name as his online and his fellow Paul O Sullivans are now good friends. In fact, despite living in different parts of the world, they have formed a band.
Paul of Baltimore one day decided to add Paul O Sullivans on his Facebook friend list. When many accepted his friend request, he realised some of them were musicians.

One night, I was kind of just indiscriminately adding Paul O Sullivans on Facebook and a good amount of them accepted my friend request, O Sullivan, who has become known as Baltimore Paul, told CBS News. Eventually, their stuff started showing up in my news feed. And I m like, Wait a minute, we re all musicians. You know, it kind of felt like the universe was daring me to do something with this serendipitous scenario.
