Like a striptease in reverse, the scantily clad Soho club The Windmill - which became famous for its shocking tableaux of nude women in the 1930s, and for staying open all through the Second World War - is now looking to add some layers of clothing and rebrand as a theatre.
On Thursday, Westminster city council will discuss plans to restore the building. According to the Times, the owners of the lap-dancing club, Immerse London, have spent £7 million transforming it into a 250-seat auditorium and 100-seat theatre lounge, and are planning a new cabaret called Revudeville inspired by A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

A plan to expand the use of body and dashboard cameras by law enforcement at all levels in New Hampshire is advancing with bipartisan support and minimal public opposition, despite the fact that some police leaders say the cameras aren’t necessary.
If bills now being debated in the House and Senate become law, the use of video technology will expand from a handful of local police departments to include all New Hampshire state troopers, with a $1 million fund established to help local police departments acquire the technology as well.
