These rule changes were originally proposed in June, since then some minor changes were made and the new ruleset goes into effect on January 1, 2021, and will be used through 2024. The WFDF website has a lot of resources on the new rules, including a video on the main changes as well as a full tracked changes document showing alterations from the 2017 rules edition. Troops share memories of holidays spent away from home U.S. soldiers and Santa at Forward Operating Base Clark, Afghanistan, in 2013. (Army) Christmas away from home and far from the people you love most can be a drag, but that absence and longing you may feel this week has been endured by those who came before you in the services. In that spirit, here are some memorable stories from troops about the holidays they spent away from home in service to the country. Here’s hoping you’re reading this while surrounded by those you love. If not, we hope these stories help you pass the time and reinforce that you are not alone even if you’re far from home.
A Langtown family is left displaced following a fire at their home on County Road 305 Thursday afternoon.
Responders were called to the home at 2256 on Lawrence County Road 305 around 2:30 p.m. Chalybeate volunteer firefighter Paul Rutherford said none of the family members were inside the residence at the time of the fire.Â
âThe home was a total loss,â said Rutherford. He said firefighters battled the blaze for about two-and-a-half hours.Â
He said the fire originated in the carport outside the home before spreading to the interior and was likely an electrical fire. He said Caddo Volunteer Fire Department and Moulton Fire Department also responded.
A THIEF who stole a woman’s purse in Durham City is due to be sentenced today. Gareth Palfrey, of Tenth Street, Blackhall Colliery, appeared at Peterlee Magistrates’ Court yesterday morning, where he entered a guilty plea to committing the offence on December 9. After a brief hearing, the 35-year-old, who was wearing a dark winter coat and dark trousers, was told to return to Teesside Magistrates’ Court, in Middlesbrough, on Tuesday, December 22 to be sentenced for the theft, as well as a separate weapon offence. Palfrey was caught after the city s parish clerk Adam Shanley and resident Mike Costello, who is recovering from a hip replacement, along with neighbourhood warden Paul Rutherford, ran to the scene after hearing the victim scream.

The Cardinals have fared well against their NFC East counterparts this season. They put away the Washington Football Team 30-15, demolished the Dallas Cowboys 38-10 and last week took down the surging New York Giants 26-7. Arizona has outscored the east 94-32, and their last matchup is Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Eagles throw a different wrinkle, though.
They just trotted out rookie quarterback Jalen Hurts for his first pro start last week against the then-10-2 New Orleans Saints. Hurts stepped up to the challenge and the Eagles won, keeping themselves alive in the division race at 1.5 games back. With three games to go, the Cardinals will need to continue to get the better of the NFC East to hold onto their lead in the NFC wild-card picture.
