Having served on a jury, I now realize I have no idea what any jury is going to do. Still, it seems hard to believe that the now-rested prosecution has managed to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that George Zimmerman was guilty of second degree murder in the sad, unfortunate death of Trayvon Martin.
This, however, is coming as a surprise to numerous
New York Times readers, who are used to a steady diet of stories about KKK rallies at Oberlin and fiftieth anniversary articles about obscure events in the civil rights struggle. So, here s an NYT article explaining that, even if the protocols of a criminal trial (presumably including technicalities such as the presumption of innocence) aren t on the side of the angels, the angels are still on the side of the angels, and that s what really counts.

Florida had yet to reveal details Saturday afternoon for resuming Johnson & Johnson coronavirus vaccine injections a day after federal officials lifted a pause on its use.
The state will most likely resume using the one-shot formula Sunday or Monday at federally supported sites capable of immunizing 3,000 people daily, a state emergency department spokeswoman said Friday.
Already, 531,770 people across Florida and 38,070 in Palm Beach County have received a jab of that vaccine, a health department report published Saturday shows.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) After the pandemic cancelled last year s Easter service, many churches and families in the area were excited to take part in service this year.
For many churches, Easter Sunday is the most important Sunday of the year as it is celebrated as the day Jesus was resurrected.
Many churches have leaned towards live-streaming services during the pandemic but are slowly opening things back up to their members. For the Christian, for the believer, Sunday s are important. Today, especially is important because we celebrate the resurrection today, said Pastor Terry Clark of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. Last year we didn t have service. We still had the highest number of views we had was on resurrection Sunday.
