With a midnight deadline looming on Monday to finish the legislative session, it appears increasingly likely a 21st special session of the Minnesota Legislature in the past 20 years will be required to balance the budget.
Saints show off power in victory over I-Cubs

Brent Rooker, Ryan Jeffers and Jimmy Kerrigan each hit a solo homer and Jeffers also had an RBI double as the St. Paul Saints beat the Iowa Cubs 6-1 on Wednesday night at CHS Field.
Jax Griffin pitched the first five innings for the Saints (3-5) and got the win, giving up one run and five hits. Lewis Thorpe didn t allow a hit in the next three innings, and Cody Stashak pitched the last inning, giving up one hit.
