Birmingham 2022 official merchandise to go on sale after Midlands firm is appointed to develop and retail world-class Commonwealth Games product range 02/05/21
Midlands-based Cube International to develop official range of Birmingham 2022 and Commonwealth Sport merchandise;
· The official online store will launch soon. Around 35 official retail stores, employing 300 people will open in key locations in the run up to and during the Games;
· Games organisers are looking for West Midlands firms to develop new products that show off the region’s creativity.
A Midlands firm has been appointed to design, license, and retail a comprehensive range of official Birmingham 2022 and Commonwealth Sport products, with the first due to go on sale online in the next couple of months.

Ernest L. “Ernie” Blanchard, age 86, of Johnstown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, with his son and daughter at his side, in the home he built in the 1950s. He was quickly called to heaven by his beautiful bride of 67 years, Marion, who recently passed away on January 15, 2021.
He was born on March 31, 1934, in Gloversville, to the late John Blanchard and Flora Swart Blanchard.
Early on, Ernie was employed by the NYS railroad system. Later becoming employed by local tanneries as a leather worker, he finally settled at the Leavitt-Berner Tanning Corp., where he eventually retired. He was a volunteer firefighter at Sir William Johnson Volunteer Fire Department for many years and took great pride in owning his own lawnmower sales and repair shop.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our Matriarch, Nancy Patricia (Dick) Blanchard on January 1, 2021 at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, with her family by her side.
Nancy was born on November 8, 1946, in Fort William, Ontario to William and Louise Dick. She was raised first in Macdiarmid, Ontario where her father, a WWII self-enlisted military veteran, was involved in the commercial fisheries. For a short time of Nancy s childhood, she was raised in St. Joseph Residential School which she remembers mostly with fond memories. At age 6 the family moved to Port Coldwell, Ontario where her father dutifully worked fisheries, highways, and then railroad. Her mother, Louise was a fiery free-spirited woman who possessed an artful hand, and powerful intuition. Nancy was educated in the village school of Port Coldwell.
