Twickenham Drive in Leasowe A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the death of a woman in Wirral today. At around 10.40am, emergency services were called to an address in Twickenham Drive, Leasowe, where they found the body of a woman in her 50s. She was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. A short time later, officers arrested a 45-year-old man on suspicion of murder. He has been taken for questioning as enquiries continue. An investigation is underway and a post mortem will be carried out to establish the cause of death. The victim’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers at this time.
