Roundhouse
The Greyfriars Centre, built in the mid-1960s, seemed like a great idea at the time and was home to a number of clubs including the Merlin, Lafayette and Roundhouse - most of which were short lived - before becoming an Asian restaurant.
It was largely demolished in 1984, becoming a normal roundabout again and had been completely been knocked down by 2012.

RAPPER Vanilla Ice could never be described as, well, vanilla.
The popstar, famous for his hit Ice, Ice Baby, has reinvented himself time and time again, from chart-topper to reality star, world-class jet-skier and DIY expert.

Vanilla Ice has had a colourful career, starting with his 1990 hit, Ice, Ice BabyCredit: Redferns
But his latest endeavour is one of the most surprising. The one-hit wonder, real name Robert Van Winkle, has made a seven-part BBC podcast The Disappearance of Shergar the Super Horse, about the famous 1981 Derby winner.
