Sullivan s Travels: Happy anniversary, Sassamon Trace
Wicked Local
I recently came across a Facebook post from the town of Natick regarding Sassamon Trace golf course off Route 27, and was nearly taken aback when I saw the date it opened – 2001.
Has it been 20 years already?
This piece of Dowse Orchards, combined with a piece of the old Natick landfill (OK, OK – dump), has become a really nice 9-hole course enjoyed by hundreds of golfers over the years. In addition to leagues, the course is home to the Natick High and Dover-Sherborn High golf teams.

Figures show that burglaries fell during the second coronavirus lockdown
Burglaries in Norfolk fell during the second national coronavirus lockdown, new figures have revealed.
Norfolk Constabulary received 161 reports of burglaries in November 2020, compared to 187 in November 2019 - a drop of 14pc, according to figures from the police crime reports database.
While burglaries represented 3.1pc of all reports made to police in the area in November 2019, they represented 2.6pc of offences reported during the same month last year.
Deputy Chief Constable Paul Sanford said: In the last 12 months we have recorded 22pc less residential burglaries than the average over the preceding three years. Lockdown will have played a part in these falling rates, but this is a trend that has continued when we have not been in lockdown.

Congressman Mo Brooks said Saturday that his now-infamous Jan. 6 speech was taken out of context and misinterpreted by the media.
Speaking at a “Free the Speech” rally in Morgan County, Brooks asked, “How can you misinterpret my intent?”
During the event, Brooks and other speakers, including Congressman Barry Moore, former Alabama Senator Paul Sanford and others, spoke at length about free speech, made claims of election fraud and media censorship, among many other things.
