InderPaul Sandhu, born to a Sikh father and Hindu mother, met Christ seven years ago in a barber shop. He now wants to be used by God to help usher people from his own East London community towards the Lord. The first track on #IPaulEP , Ring , came off the back of a prayer he prayed when he became a Christian and is powerful even if grime isn t your style. My favourite track (and my 11 year old son s) is Christian , which explains what it means to be a Christian. I Am Not is a total curve ball as it is a guitar-led, more chilled track which I can imagine giving me goosebumps if I ever heard it live and one can imagine it being played to engage people in either worship or in response to a message. With this being Inderpaul s first solo effort I really think he could make an impact on reaching not only his community but a generation that is often hearing more about hate than hope.
Police body cameras
In unanimously approving a contract to purchase cameras from Axon, which also manufactures the Taser, the council had the support of both Galt Police Department leadership and officers.
Interim Police Chief Brian Kalinowksi presented the contract to the council, saying there is evidence that body cameras reduce complaints against police, as well as officersâ use of force and the time needed to review incidents.
Kalinowski said Axon was chosen in part because its body cameras have the ability to automatically begin recording when an officer draws their handgun or activates their Taser, while cameras from other companies are triggered only in the former case.

Owner considers closing toilets at Te Kawa crossroads

When Aucklander Jay Reid felt the call of nature during a recent trip to the King Country, he pulled in to a rest stop in search of relief and what he found left him sickened. When I saw that place I wanted to vomit, Reid told the Herald about his visit to the toilets at Te Kawa crossroads, north of Otorohanga.
He was so disgusted that he photographed the scene, sending the photos to the Herald in an effort to have conditions improved.
