Mayor Gloria announces proposed housing measures for San Diego

Print Mayor Todd Gloria announced a series of proposed affordable housing initiatives that he says will encourage the development of more homes for residents of all income levels. Calling his package of ideas “Homes For All of Us, Gloria said Monday that the city’s planning department is working to expedite them to create more housing options for people regardless of age, income or neighborhood. Housing stability, affordability and proximity are some of San Diego’s root challenges, Gloria said. “We don’t have nearly enough homes that our residents can afford,” he said; “that makes addressing these challenges so much harder.”
