Organisers say they are “heartbroken” by the news, which comes despite the rollout of coronavirus vaccines.
The event normally brings thousands of people to the East Sussex city, with around 300,000 attending in 2019.
The usual parade, party and festival had been scheduled to take place on August 7 and 8 this summer, but organisers said there are “uncertainties that need to be resolved to safely deliver mass gatherings”.

The Brighton Pride website outlines the following options: We know 2022 will sell out, so you may wish to roll over tickets to 2022 to secure your place for next year and insure against any price increases Donate the face value of your ticket to the Brighton Rainbow Fund to support the year-round essential work of local charities and community groups Apply for a refund of the face value of your ticket The celebrations were due to take place this year on August 7 and August 8.
Brighton Pride has been cancelled for 2021 However, smaller community and cultural events are stilled planned for throughout the summer and autumn.

SALEM, Ore. (AP) The Oregon Senate passed a bill Wednesday that would mandate safe storage of guns and ban them from the state Capitol. Republican lawmakers strenuously objected, saying they and others will be deprived of the ability to defend themselves.
