Mr Foster replied: “I don’t think he was capable of making a rational decision.” Sheriff Crozier told Boyd that that custody was the only way to deal with matters. He added: “You were helped by police and taken to hospital and while there you behaved in an appalling manner to those who were just trying to help you.”

The court heard Mr Dewar and his colleague had delivered furniture and were heading back to their vehicle. Mullen approached them and said: “You want some?” before he ran at Mr Dewar’s colleague with a glass bottle. He then turned his attention to Mr Dewar and made the remarks.

LAFAYETTE, La. â A district court judge heard testimony Wednesday from witnesses from both the state and the defense during a hearing for the man accused of gunning down a Lafayette Police officer and wounding three others in 2017.
Both state prosecutors and defense attorneys for Ian Howard called several witnesses to take the stand before 15th Judicial District Judge Valerie Gotch Garrett to testify.
Howard, 31, is accused of shooting two men at the Big Boyz store on Moss Street in Lafayette. He then fled the scene in his vehicle but returned multiple times, prosecutors allege.

“The flat was in a general untidy state with numerous boxes sitting around. “He woke the woman up and an argument started between them.” Vukomba grabbed her by the ankles while she was lying in bed. Mr Bedford said that Vukomba became angry and grabbed her by the neck and later the hair causing some of her braids to fall out. She pleaded with him to stop the assault, but he carried on punching her on the head and body. A 999 call was made by the woman who screamed down the phone for officers to attend. Mr Bedford said: “Vukomba placed his hands around her neck and compressed it which restricted her breathing.
