Salcombe creates Daring gin with Paul Ainsworth 9th April, 2021 by Owen Bellwood English producer Salcombe Distilling Co has partnered with Michelin-starred chef Paul Ainsworth to create the seventh gin in its Voyager Series. Salcombe Distilling Co has added Daring to its Voyager Series Each gin in the limited edition Voyager Series is developed in collaboration with a renowned chef or winemaker to represent their ‘individual personality and style’. The seventh release in the series saw Salcombe partner with Ainsworth and was inspired by his dish, A Tale of Porthilly. The dish, which is available at Ainsworth’s Michelin-starred Padstow restaurant Paul Ainsworth at No6, showcases Cornish oysters and features a fennel and apple salad.

Blackburn: Teenager arrested after throwing slates from roof in Mill Hill

A TEENAGER has been arrested after climbing on top of a roof and tearing off and throwing slates. Local residents and business people were alarmed when they first noticed the teenager on the roof of Ainsworth Lord Estates on New Chapel Street in Mill Hill, Blackburn at around 1.30pm this afternoon. Eye witnesses say that he began tearing tiles of the roof and throwing them at a nearby butchers shop that was filled with customers at the time. Paul Ainsworth-Lord, owner of Ainsworth Lord Estates, said: It was totally out of the blue, nothing to do with us and then the next thing you know he was throwing tyres at the road, shouting abuse, throwing tiles at the butcher, threatening the butcher.

Menus announced for Alfresco drive-in coming to St Albans

The exclusive menu will feature Tom Kerridge’s Smoked Applewood Cheeseburger with dill pickles and red cabbage slaw, as well as Tom’s delicious Vegan Chipotle Chilli with steamed rice, guacamole, sour ‘cream’ and lime. Chef Paul Ainsworth will be helping to create the menu for The Alfresco Diner on The Alfresco Theatre Drive-in Tour coming to the Hertfordshire Showground.
