LISBON A 27-year-old East Palestine man could spend his life in prison after pleading guilty to rape and gross sexual imposition involving a young girl.
Kasey L. Helisek, East Clark Street, requested immediate sentencing following guilty pleas in Common Pleas Court on Friday afternoon.
Helisek declined to give a statement and Judge Megan Bickerton pointed out that maybe it was better he did not make a statement because maybe there is nothing he could say about what he did.
Bickerton called what happened the worst offense someone can do and talked about the level of harm that can be caused to a child as he subjected her to things she should have never known about.

The Board of Omsco, the UK’s largest organic dairy cooperative, has announced the appointment of David Williams in the newly-created role of chief executive from the beginning of April.
Williams has more than 25 years’ experience of working in the dairy industry. This includes holding several board and senior executive posts in UK and European farmer-owned dairy cooperatives.
Williams held senior-level finance roles in Arla Foods amba: he is currently Arla’s global head of finance, members, milk & trading, based at its head office in Viby, Denmark.
Before joining Arla, he was the corporate finance and strategy director for UK dairy cooperative Milk Link, and prior to that was its finance director.

Ho boasts more than 25 years of experience within the dairy industry and has held senior roles at Arla. Prior to this, he spent seven years as corporate finance and strategy director for Milk Link and played an important role in developing the dairy co-operative into a farmer-owned processing business.
