Janine Gutierrez and ABS-CBN are still mum on the matter but Paulo Avelino is seemingly only too willing to let slip what many knew all along.
“It’s with our newest Kapamilya, Janine Gutierrez,” said he when asked in a recent virtual press conference about his upcoming film with the actress dubbed “Ngayon Kaya.”
Note “Kapamilya” is a term used to refer to ABS-CBN talents.
Prior, Janine was seen dining with several bosses from the said network.
Recall the daughter of celebrities Ramon Christopher Gutierrez and Lotlot de Leon opted not to renew her contract with GMA after it expired recently.
The actress was recently seen in the company of several Kapamilya bosses.

Soon after, rumors about her transfer to ABS-CBN emerged.
The photo circulating online was originally posted by the 31-year-old star’s manager, Leo V. Dominguez of LVD Management.
In the caption, Leo thanked ABS-CBN’s Dreamscape Entertainment Head Deo Endrinal for the congratulatory dinner he arranged for Janine and his other talent, actor Paulo Avelino.

ABS-CBN bade goodbye to 2020 on a high note with a string of victories in various award-giving bodies last December.
The company’s film production unit, Star Cinema, was the big winner at the 7th Urduja Heritage Film Awards with “Quezon’s Game” and “Hello, Love, Goodbye” taking home major awards including Best Heritage Film for the movie on the late former Philippine president Manuel Quezon, and a Jury Prize (Romance) for the country’s all-time highest-grossing local movie.
“Quezon’s Game” cast members Raymond Bagatsing, Rachel Alejandro, Billy Ray Gallion, and Audie Gemora were also named Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Actor in a Cameo Role, respectively, while the film’s director Matthew Rosen won Best Director, Best Cinematography, and Best Production Design. Dean Rosen also won Best Screenplay for the film.

DOUBLE WHAMMY: Janine Gutierrez brought home the bacon for GMA Network with two best actress awards in 2019.
The young actress scored back-to-back wins in acting from the URIAN (Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino) and the FAMAS (Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences) for her portrayal of an empowered woman in 2019 film, Baril at Babae.
Janine earlier gained notice for another remarkable performance in the underrated film, Elise. She played an upward, liberated woman in the witty, well written, and well- acted film.
She will be seen next opposite Paulo Avelino in T-Rex Entertainment’s “Ngayon Kaya.”
