Gardai have arrested a man after a frightening armed robbery in Co Donegal this morning
The robbery of the premises - on the Circular Road, Ballyboe, Glencar, Co Donegal - occurred at approximately 9:40am today.
According to gardai, the man reportedly entered this premises armed with what appeared to be a gun and threatened staff.
He then fled the scene on foot with a sum of cash and a quantity of cigarettes.
Shortly afterwards, officers responding to reports of a theft of a vehicle intercepted a car in Donegal town, and arrested the driver, a man aged in his 20s.
