Baiduri Bank yesterday cemented its support to the Development of Native Mobile Application for Volunteers (
Mengalinga) with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) and Baiduri Bank.
The volunteer app, with a targetted launch in August this year, will comprise different features. Its primary function is to provide a platform to enable event organisers and non-government organisations to promote volunteering opportunities and allow aspiring volunteers to join these activities through the app.
Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin witnessed the signing as the guest of honour at the Baiduri Community Space, Baiduri Bank Headquarters.

Biden’s nomination of Beaudreau to be deputy Interior secretary comes amid a slate of other picks announced Wednesday for top roles at the department, as well as the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Energy Department and Transportation Department.
Beaudreau held several roles at the department under the Obama administration, including serving as the first director of the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management. He was also the department’s chief of staff and was acting assistant secretary for land and minerals management.

Currently, he’s a lawyer at the firm Latham & Watkins LLP.
The nomination, first reported by E&E News on Tuesday, received mixed reviews from environmental groups.
