According to statement released by the university, the student was immediately isolated from fellow students.
âEfforts were immediately made to isolate the student from where the concerned student was residing. The guardians were informed on the situation and the student has since gone home for isolation,â the statement reads.
Meanwhile, the Polytechnic Management has said it has engaged Blantyre District Health Office (DHO) to trace those who came in contact with the student promising that once other contacts are found, they will be isolated as well.
âManagement has put in place measures of ensuring that there is no escalation of covid-19 cases on campus,â continued the statement.
