After last week s historic winter storm, dead and dying bats are turning up under bridges and overpasses across the state, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department said. Hundreds have been found in San Antonio. In response, TPWD announced an investigation of the bat fatalities on social media, asking Texans to share observations, including photos, and to estimate the number of fatalities on iNaturalist, a social network used to identify and track plants, wildlife and other organisms.

It s antiquated nonsense to say that Bridges is out of line attacking a public servant. Public servants as senior as the Police Commissioner are not neutral. They don t get to the top of their departments without being able to play highly political games. The entire public service is highly politicised. COLLEGE STATION, TX â Thursday morning, just before 10:00 am, College Station Police responded to a call regarding civil disturbance. When the officer arrived on the scene the situation escalated quickly. The suspect was considered dangerous which called for a heavy response of emergency personnel.
The officer approached the male suspect to ensure everything was okay and that is when the male suspect, now identified as Jonathan Bridges, pulled out a gun on the officer.
âThe officer got on scene to make contact with the two individuals to make sure they were okay, said Tristen Lopez, Public Information Officer for College Station Police Department. Kansas and Missouri just made the top 10 on a less-than-desirable list: the worst states for distracted driving.
According to a new study from WhistleOut, Missourians spend 7.35% of their time on their phones while driving. Kansans, ranked the sixth worst state in the country, are even less focused on driving.
