Today, the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 825 announced its endorsement of James Barberio for Mayor, Frank Neglia and Deborah Orme for Township Council in the upcoming Republican primary election.
Greg Lalevee, Business Manager of IUOE Local 825 released the following statement:
“Jamie Barberio was one of the strongest local development and infrastructure champions the members of 825 had in New Jersey during his time as Mayor. He made great strides in putting Parsippany Troy-Hills on the map as one of our states great places to live, work and raise a family. We have no doubt in the type of municipal leader he will be once again. We are proud to support his effort in the upcoming primary election.
POMPTON LAKES, N.J. – 26th Legislative District hopeful Christian Barranco (R- Jefferson Township) is standing by his 2016 opinion that then-candidate Donald Trump should’ve spoken out against violence at his campaign rallies. At the time, the future Assembly candidate also said rally violence meant Trump shouldn’t be president.
Barranco, who works as a project manager for IBEW Local 102, made the remarks to NorthJersey.com back in March 2016. The article (which focused on New Jersey Rubio supporters as Trump became the inevitable 2016 nominee) included a quote from Barranco; he opposed a party elite-dominated brokered convention but nevertheless expressed his belief that Trump shouldn’t be president:

MORRISTOWN, NJ – Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L), a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. (NYSE: FE), is conducting tree trimming work along more than 3,700 miles of power lines across its 13-county service territory as part of its annual vegetation management program. This work helps keep power flowing to customers around the clock by preventing tree-related outages.
So far this year, tree contractors have trimmed along approximately 400 miles of electric lines in the JCP&L service area, with an additional 3,300 miles expected to be completed by year s end. Overall, JCP&L expects to spend approximately $41 million on its vegetation management program in 2021.
