A 49-year-old Milton man is under arrest on suspicion of 10 counts of possession of child pornography.
According to a news release, Milton Police and Wisconsin Department of Justice agents executed a search warrant at a residence on the 700 block of Lamar Street just after 8:30 Wednesday morning.
Jason L. Keesey of Milton was taken into custody and transported to the Rock County Jail.
The case remains under investigation pending forensic analysis of Keesey’s electronic devices.
The case is the result of an investigation by the Wisconsin Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Sergeant Aaron Dammen said the investigation began when a white Mitsubishi Lancer was stolen last week.
The vehicle was spotted several times in Janesville over the days that followed, so the department’s street crimes unit conducted a grid search to locate it on Sunday.
46-year-old Patrick Ryan of Milton was in the process of committing another theft when they found and arrested him with the vehicle in the 2700 block of West Court Street.
Officers recovered a large amount of stolen property they believe to be connected to other recent burglaries, and they have been unable to identify the proper owners to return much of it.

“Three of them contained marijuana while the fourth contained six mobile phones, four chargers as well as the bamboo wrapping paper,” the police report.
In all, the cannabis weighed 1.99 kilograms. The probe also revealed 25 packs of cigarettes separated into five bundles, each containing five decks.
It is not clear from police if the wrapping paper was, indeed, wrapping paper or had another function. Last year, an inmate at the Rock County Jail in Wisconsin was charged in connection with a scheme involving drug-laced paper, including children’s drawings, being mailed to the correctional facility.
The correctional staff in Trinidad and Tobago informed officers at the Arouca Police Station, who then seized the contraband. Inquiries into the smuggling attempt are continuing.
