Lucas Puig Adidas Primeknit Primeblue Sneakers Interview, Price, and Where to Buy

Courtesy If you don’t know anything about Lucas Puig, the French skater who rides for Palace and Adidas (among other brands), the first thing to understand is that the 34-year-old has a masterful approach to turning any given cityscape into a skateable playground. The second thing to keep in mind is that for Puig, the cityscape most often encountered is Biarritz, a seaside town on the Basque coast in southwestern France. He surfs, too, because if you’re a talented skater living right next to the water in a picturesque part of the world, well…you surf. Related Stories

Adidas ultra-sustainable new Ultraboost kicks are here

Adidas is on a mission to be plastic-free by 2024. For this, as well as launching eco-friendly sneakers such as the 100 per cent recyclable Futurecraft Loop, it has given a series of its existing shoes sustainable reworks. Stan Smiths now come with uppers in Primegreen – the German super brand s patented material made from recycled plastic – which sit atop recycled rubber outsoles, and the Ultraboost has just been given a seeing to, as well.  The sportswear giant has just released four new pairs of the runners, which are characterised by a comfortable construction and are the favoured trainers of Harry Styles and David Beckham, to encapsulate its commitment to ending plastic waste. Firstly, the creamy Ultraboost Made To Be Remade is a fully recyclable shoe and comes with a QR code on the tongue that you can scan with your phone to arrange for them to be collected. The shoes will then be taken to an Adidas store and broken down and upcycled to create a brand new pair.
