Federal fugitive task force catches Austin man charged in 2017 sexual assault, officials say
An Austin man accused of aggravated sexual assault in Travis County was apprehended on Thursday by the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force.
The task force arrested 40-year-old Jason Park. He is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in 2017 at Churchill Crossing Apartments in the 14100 block of Thermal Drive in North Austin near Wells Branch.
Park was booked into the Travis County Jail on Thursday before 5 p.m. He has a bail amount set at $150,000, according to county records.
The woman Park is accused of assaulting told Travis County sheriff s officials that the incident began on a Capital Metro bus around 4 or 5 p.m. on June 3, 2017, an arrest affidavit says.
