The cleanup has begun in the wake of Wednesday’s collapse of the Tweedsmuir Tavern in an early-morning fire, as local police conduct what they describe as a routine investigation.
Fire crews were dispatched at 5:55 a.m. Wednesday to the business on Victoria Street North. Fire Chief Derrick Little said the building was already “fully involved” in fire.

No injuries were reported. An interview with the owner could not be arranged by press time Thursday.
