SANTA BARBARA, Calif. Santa Barbara County Public Health will be offering walk-in COVID-19 vaccination appointments this week.
County Public Health says they will be accepting walk ins for two of their upcoming first dose vaccination clinics in Santa Barbara and Santa Maria.
They welcome all resident 18 and older to come by the clinic to get their first dose.
The event will be on Tuesday and Wednesday.
On Tuesday will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Santa Barbara Hilton at 633 East Cabrillo Boulevard. Public Health will be providing first doses of the Moderna vaccine at this location.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. People 16 and old are eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine in Santa Barbara County. Multiple locations around the county are offering vaccines.
Two of the largest distributions are Santa Barbara County Public Health and Cottage Health. Marian Regional Medical Center said they are partnering with Santa Barbara County Public Health. There are also smaller clinics and popup clinics around the county.
Near Santa Barbara in Goleta, Cottage Health is offering a drive-thru clinic at Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital. They have been averaging 10,000 appointments per week in April. There are a lot of appointments available on their website. Availability ranges from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through Saturday this week and next. To signup go to their website.
Santa Barbara County hits ORANGE TIER in CA COVID-19 reopening structure
SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. - Santa Barbara County Public Health announced Tuesday morning that the county will move for the first time into the Orange Tier of the state reopening structure. Public Health Director Van Do-Reynoso released the news during her weekly update at the Board of Supervisors meeting. We are here. We are in the Orange tier, said Do-Reynoso.
This will allow greater access for businesses to open indoors. Restaurants can move inside at 50 percent capacity with a limit of 200. Wineries and tasting rooms can move inside at 25 percent capacity. And all restrictions on capacity on retail stores will be lifted.

The clinic is being held at Girls Inc. in Carpinteria. It is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. And they plan to be back in four weeks to administer the second dose.
