He will be deeply missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Det. Jennings and his family who lost not only a partner but a beloved family friend, the post read.Willett passed away on Saturday.
Bardstown Police trains to better interact with people who have autism

BARDSTOWN, Ky. Officers with the Bardstown Police Department are receiving special training to help them better understand and interact with members of their community who have autism.
Bardstown Police Chief Kim Kraeszig said there is a high chance that officers will interact with someone who has autism during runs, encouraging the department to start training for the best possible interaction.
An 18-year-old Nelson County High School student was killed Tuesday morning in a crash on Highway 245 in Bardstown, according to Kentucky State Police.
Troopers responded to the crash involving two vehicles about 4 a.m. Tuesday on Highway 245 near Spencer-Mattingly Lane in Bardstown, according to a state police news release.
A preliminary investigation found Draven Greenwell, 18, of Bloomfield, was driving north on Highway 245 when for unknown reasons, his Toyota Matrix crossed the center line into the southbound lane and hit a tractor-trailer head on.
Greenwell was pronounced dead at the scene, according to state police.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured, and a portion of the highway was closed for several hours Tuesday as troopers reconstructed the crash, which remains under investigation, according to Kentucky State Police.
Former daycare worker arrested on abuse charges following police investigation

Tuesday, May 4, 2021 A former Bardstown daycare worker is facing child abuse charges following an investigation by the Bardstown Police Department.

According to a BPD press release, the department became aware of an incident that took place Thursday, April 29, 2021, at Little Angels Primary House daycare, 830 Pennsylvania Ave. in Bardstown. Police interviewed the child’s mother, who had also posted video of an incident involving her two-year-old foster child on Facebook. That video shows a daycare employee spraying a child with a spray bottle with what appears to be water.
