Local activist Jazna Stannard is working with Hartford MakerSpaceCT to create an outdoor art installation to honor first responders and frontline workers.
Two incoming juniors at Williamsburg Independent School will have the opportunity to work alongside the district’s chief information officer to learn about information technology, receive a small pay check, and certification.
The Williamsburg Independent Board of Education unanimously approved an agreement between Dataseam and the district to employ and train students in information technology during its meeting on April 20.
Williamsburg Superintendent Tim Melton said that students would begin in the fall working and completing coursework. The work would continue through the summer into the spring of the students’ senior year.
The district’s plan is to hire the students in the summer, so that they could complete some training before the apprenticeship would officially begin in the fall.

ARUNDEL – Keith Allen Mills, 50, of Arundel, passed away on Sunday April 25, 2021, in Kennebunkport.
Keith was born April 10, 1971, in Biddeford to Mr. Jon A. Mills and Mrs. Sharon Langlois Mills.
He attended Biddeford High School, graduating in 1989. He then attended, Southern Maine Vocational Technical College, earning an associate degree in Criminal Justice. He furthered his education at the University of Southern Maine where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice in 1992.
Keith started his law enforcement career as a Corrections Officer with the York County Sheriff’s department at the age of 18 and as a Reserve Officer with the Ogunquit Police Department. He then joined the Kennebunkport Police Department as Patrolman, attaining the rank of Sergeant before his retirement there a

Central Noble

The Central Noble baseball program is growing. There are 32 players in the program this year, which allowed them to put together a C team.
On the varsity, Dylan Eggl, Will Hoover, Jackson Hoover, Cade Weber and Noah Christopher are all returning with varsity experience.
The newcomers are Tyler Shisler, Jaxon Copas, Justin Krider, Aidan Dreibelbis, Caleb Weaver, Aidan Harman, Nick Godsey, Chase Spencer and Sawyer Yoder.
The strength of the Cougars will be their depth. With more players in the program, they will be able to utilize a lot of different athletes.
The Warwick Middle School Future City team didnât have to travel far to take home the 2nd place prize at the National Future City competition.
Instead of traveling to Washington, D.C. to compete as usual, the competition was held online. The award-winning team was honored at a virtual ceremony held on Wednesday, April 7.
The students thought they were going to be interviewed about their project during a live video call but then discovered that they had made the top five. Then they were surprised to find out during the awards ceremony that Warwick Middle School received the awards for âBest Presentation Videoâ and âBest City for Transportationâ in the Central Pennsylvania regionals. Best of all was learning that they were named as 2nd place in the national finals.
