The Director of Public Prosecutions has decided to try a Dublin-based criminal solicitor before a judge and jury at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
Cahir O’Higgins, whose firm is based on Parkgate Street in Dublin city, is accused of assault causing harm to another well-known criminal lawyer.
The offices of Cahir O’Higgins & Co. Solicitors are just a short walk from the Criminal Courts of Justice, where he first appeared on this charge in February.
The 46-year-old is accused of assault causing harm to Stephen O’Mahony, at Wolfe Tone Quay in Dublin city centre, on February 11th.

A MAN HAS been jailed for obstruction of justice after he admitted trying to stop his ex-partner giving evidence against him by telling her that her family – including her young daughter – would be shot.
